HOLOBLOOM
2024

Sculpture,  4 x 5ft
Speculative Design. Video/3D animation

Holobloom is a speculative machine that utilizes digital archaeology to generate artifacts inspired by botanical analogies. By capturing point cloud data and analyzing spatial scales of floral color and form, Holobloom demonstrates how 3D technology can reimagine futures and uncover new knowledge through innovative excavation methodologies. This project invites a critical reexamination of how unfiltered data outcomes can be harnessed to reveal historical objects while envisioning new techno-futures. Through a structured computational framework informed by ecological narratives, Holobloom reframes the functions of technology and our interpretations of the past, integrating traditional data routes while embracing the results of data-generated anomalies.
